Meet Our Team

Dr. Michael Meyers’ journey into veterinary medicine began in childhood—he was the kid who filled his bed with real dogs and cats instead of stuffed animals, and regularly brought home snakes to show his mom. He never wavered from his dream, eventually graduating from the University of Missouri (Undergrad, ’03) and the University of Illinois (DVM, ’07).

Throughout his career, Michael has worn nearly every hat in the industry, finding success across general practice, emergency medicine, and veterinary business ownership. While he loves the diverse challenges of medicine, his true calling today is professional development and a commitment to helping others reach new heights in their careers. Outside of work, Michael enjoys slowing down to spend quality time catching up with his family and childhood friends.

Originally from southwest Missouri, I completed my undergraduate degree at Missouri Southern State University while competing for the women’s track and field team as a thrower. I obtained my Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Colorado State University. My career interests include dermatology, internal medicine, cardiology, and preventative medicine. In my free time, I enjoy hiking, traveling, reading, and collecting vinyl records.

Dr. Church grew up in Lee’s Summit and graduated from Lee’s Summit High School. She went on to attend and graduate from the University of Missouri with a bachelor’s degree in Human Environmental Science and received her veterinary undergraduate education from Rockhurst University. She completed her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree, graduating in 2002 from the University of Missouri. She began working for a small animal and exotic practice in south Kansas City after graduation. She took a veterinarian position at Green Summit Animal Clinic, located in Lee’s Summit, in January of 2005, becoming the practice owner one year later, owning and operating the clinic for 15 years. She is now very excited to join Crown Veterinary Services to continue to practice the profession she so deeply loves. The relationships she has built over her time as a veterinarian in Lee’s Summit has only deepened her dedication and commitment to continue the care and welfare of patients and the community.

Dr. Church resides in Lee’s Summit with her husband and two daughters, two cats, and her really nice chihuahua. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends at the lake, watching her youngest daughter compete at swim meets, trail walking, and boating.

Dr. Washington’s passion for animals began at a young age while helping care for the animals on her family’s farm and ranch. She earned her veterinary degree from Kansas State University and remains a proud Wildcat.

Known for her surgical skills and compassionate approach, Dr. Washington is dedicated to providing high-quality medical care while ensuring that every pet and client feels welcomed, valued, and treated like family. She is committed to fostering strong relationships with pet owners and helping patients live healthier, happier lives.

Outside of the hospital, Dr. Washington enjoys spending time with her family and embracing her role as a proud sports mom. Whether it’s football, baseball, or basketball season, you’ll often find her cheering from the sidelines and supporting her children in their athletic pursuits.

Assistant Practice Manager

Daisy Flores is the Assistant Practice Manager with over six years of experience in veterinary medicine, specializing in administrative operations and team leadership. With a background in both General Practice and Emergency Medicine, Daisy brings a well-rounded, solutions-driven approach to supporting both patients and the teams who care for them.

She is known for her strong sense of urgency and follow-through—when a problem is presented, Daisy works quickly to find answers and deliver results. She is deeply committed to providing exceptional team support and ensuring clients experience a smooth, compassionate process, especially during stressful or emotional situations. Above all, Daisy prioritizes the well-being of every patient and strives to ensure each “fur baby” receives the highest level of care.

As a bilingual leader, Daisy helps foster clear communication and inclusivity within the hospital and with the clients it serves. Outside of work, she is a proud mother of four children and a devoted pet parent to Naya, a Catahoula mix, and Keanu, a black medium-long-haired cat. Family is at the heart of everything she does, and on her days off, she enjoys working on motors with her spouse.

Emma Stoner grew up loving all animals, learning random facts about them (that she still remembers and uses to this day), advocating for the various endangered species of the world, and telling her friends and family that she was going to be a vet someday. That dream lasted right up until she learned the price tag of a veterinary medicine degree, so she settled to work as a client service representative instead.

Leadership is something that’s come easily to Emma throughout her life. She’s always enjoyed offering guidance and empathy to those around her, and when others may hesitate to take up the helm, she’s always been happy to take it up when needed. She desires to be a pillar others can rely on, and she recognizes how much work her team puts in to ensure a great client and patient experience, so she strives to ensure they understand she’s not looking for a spot at a desk away from the various tasks that help build a strong facility and team, as there’s not a task she considers beneath her simply because of a difference in title. Her goal is always to understand the many jobs and intricacies of those on her staff so she can better serve them.

Emma graduated with a degree in graphic design, which she utilizes in her personal life in conjunction with a love for all things art. She’s an avid photographer, and she can be found at all hours of her off-days chasing sunsets, watching storms, and generally enjoying the outdoors. Of all her favorite places, she holds a deep fondness for the mountains of Colorado, and she’s been a repeat visitor every year since her first visit in 2016. When she’s not planted outdoors, she can be found writing science fiction, with an aspiration to someday publish a novel, and editing photos. She shares her home with two dogs – Lance, a Jack Russell Terrier, and Phoebe, a Jack/Pug mix (or, as she affectionately calls her, a “jug”) – and her high school sweetheart.

Kristin Ash is passionate about providing compassionate, patient-centered care and building lasting relationships with clients and their pets. She graduated from Maple Woods Veterinary Technology Program in 2016 and has been working in veterinary medicine since 2014.

Outside of the clinic, she enjoys spending time with her husband and three children and has a lifelong love of animals. Her warm, family-oriented approach and dedication to animal care help create a welcoming experience for every patient and client.

Ally Odom has always had a passion for animals and began working in the veterinary field with her very first job. She earned her Associate of Applied Science in Veterinary Technology from Moberly Area Community College in 2025 and has found her true passion working in Emergency and Critical Care.

Ally thrives in the fast-paced environment of the ER and brings a steady presence to even the busiest shifts. As the Head ER Veterinary Technician, she mentors fellow technicians, helps keep the floor running smoothly, and takes on some of the hospital’s most critical cases. She enjoys being part of a team that works together under pressure to provide the best possible care for their patients.

Ally is currently continuing her education through the University of Missouri–Columbia’s bachelor’s program for veterinary technicians, with the ultimate goal of earning her specialty in Emergency and Critical Care.

At home, Ally likes to say she has a “critter in every size,” with a 90-pound German Shepherd, a 30-pound Beagle/Pit mix, and a 6-pound Chihuahua keeping her busy. Outside of the hospital, she enjoys spending time with her three dogs, hiking, and getting lost in a good book.

Bethany Owings has been a Registered Veterinary Technician since 2024. They have been a lifelong animal lover and spent much of their childhood finding ways to spend time with the animals around them. Bethany’s favorite part of veterinary medicine is problem solving each case is like a puzzle, and they love watching the pieces come together for a complete workup with diagnostics, treatments, vitals and all the other components. Bethany is passionate about rehab medicine and is a certified Canine and Equine Sports Massage Therapist. They bring their knowledge of muscle function and pain signals to many cases, ensuring the patients in their care are advocated for in every situation. Outside of veterinary medicine, Bethany spends much of their time on animal welfare, often fostering or “matchmaking” to help families find their perfect companion. Bethany also enjoys various sports and activities with their 4 dogs, 2 cats and 4 horses, often including in their activities the latest foster or boarding dogs. They look forward to meeting your pets and working with the amazing team here to provide them with top tier patient care!

My love for animals started when working with the horses at my uncle’s farm growing up and shifted into veterinary medicine when working at a shelter in college! Graduated from Crowder College Veterinary Technology Program in 2024, have been working in vet med since 2022.

In my spare time I enjoy going to State and National Parks to hike, fish, and camp with my black lab named Daisy!

I have loved animals since before I can even remember and always dreamed of working in vet med. In 2016 I made that dream a reality and started working in general practice. I graduated Vet tech school in 2024 and became an RVT. After that I decided to make the switch from GP to ER and have absolutely fallen in love with it! I spend alot of time in surgery and anesthesia and make my way into ICU as much as I can. Outside of work, I’m a mother to 3 beautiful children and 3 dogs. We enjoy fishing and spending time outdoors. We also foster a lot of dogs and have even fostered a couple of dogs that we’re fortunate enough to have been provided lifesaving treatment at Crown Veterinary Services.

I have worked with small companion animals for over 13 years. I graduated in 2015 at the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons and became a Registered Veterinary Nurse in London, United Kingdom.

My background of work is predominantly in Speciality-Anaesthesia and Analgesia.

I have lived in Missouri for 2 years now and practice here as a Registered Veterinary Technician.

I love working in the ICU and providing top tier, gold standard care to all our patients.

When not at work, I spend most of my time with my Spanish horse Hugo, my two rescue dogs and my rescue cat.

I am bilingual in English and Spanish and I am most happy to help with any explanation or translation needs.
